Tuesday

Appreciation
Something broke tonight.
The thinly veiled lie
Concealed behind her tambourine smile,
Flashed a bolt of truth, and died.
Revealed by a syrum of pride,
Alcoholic echoed screams,
Pretense filled with stilted words,
And too many unfulfilled dreams.

Baby can’t scream so loud
Baby’s trying
Baby’s crying
Baby’s hitting tonight
